In the summer of 1897, Wilhelm – together with his brother Arnold and his uncle Carl – was appointed to the Supervisory Board of the newly founded company Siemens & Halske AG. Since his brother Arnold devoted most of his time to social and ceremonial duties, Wilhelm strongly influenced the development of the growing company’s business for decades.
